The Big Horn County SAR Foundation
The Big Horn County Search & Rescue Foundation was established in 2024 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the volunteers of Big Horn County Search & Rescue. While the county provides funding for essential operating expenses, it does not fund the specialized vehicles, rescue equipment, protective gear, training resources, and technology our team needs to safely respond to emergencies. The Foundation was created to bridge that gap, ensuring our volunteers have the tools they need to serve our community when every minute matters.
Every donation made to the Foundation is an investment in the safety of our rescuers and the people they serve. From life-saving rescue equipment and communications systems to off-road vehicles and technical gear, your support helps ensure our team is prepared for the next call—whether it's a missing child, an injured hunter, a stranded motorist, or a lost hiker deep in the Big Horn Mountains. Together, we're strengthening the future of search and rescue in Big Horn County and helping ensure that when our community needs us, we're ready.
